Burglar Suspects to be Tried

LOGAN, Utah

Two burglary suspects are being tried after being arrested by Sheriff Deputy Geoffery Hasty. The two acquaintances are suspected of breaking and entering a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints last week in Logan, Utah. 35 year old Jim Michaels and a juvenile, 15 (whose name is not being released), are both suspected of the burglary.

The Defense Attorney of Michaels, Robbie Cochran, believes the forensic evidence found at the scene of the crime to be “flimsy” and not enough to convict Michaels of any crime. Michaels posted a $5,000 bond and is to be tried on March 21st, and could face up to six months to a year in jail.

The two suspects are former acquaintances and both have prior records, which were not discussed during the interview.
